PublicPrograms -- University offices that provide programs accessible to our friends and neighbors in Upper Manhattan and beyond.

About PublicPrograms
English (USA)

The listserv is open to anyone working at University offices providing programs accessible to our friends and neighbors in Upper Manhattan and beyond. Once subscribed, we encourage that you share any upcoming events, projects, programs, collaborations or anything else that may be of interest to our friends and neighbors in Upper Manhattan and beyond.

We hope that the Listserv will:
-Develop a practice of information sharing amongst public programs at the University, leading to collaborations and cross promotion.
-Allow GCA and other central administrative departments to better share this information with elected officials, residents, community leaders, and civic organizations in the neighborhoods surrounding Columbia University.

Below are some simple guidelines to help keep the listserv useful.

• Be sure to include a descriptive subject line. E-mails received with no subject line may be perceived as spam by an email filter and be deleted before reaching the recipient's inbox.
• Responses to many listserv list questions and discussion topics are of interest to the entire list. In these cases, it is appropriate to reply all, including the listserv list address.
• Personal replies should be directed to specific individuals rather than to the entire list. Simply hitting the “Reply” button sends the response to the original sender and not the list.
• Do not use the list for the solicitation, promotion, or sales of commercial products or services. Posts cannot promote or engage in political activities as it is a violation of our 501(c) status.
• If the amount of mail from the listserv becomes cumbersome, rather than leaving the list, consider receiving the digest form of the list. Instead of getting each email individually, you will receive a summary email at the end of each day.
